Hardware FAQ Solution #23, Notebooks Laptops:
The video cards for laptops and notebooks are usually not good. Manufactures do not provide good video cards because "Power Use"/PCB real-estate issues--laptops have small motherboards and tight battery power budgets. The video cards must be Direct X compatible.
We recommend the following laptops/notebooks:

Audio Drivers, and NTSC, (or PAL), TV-OUTPUT. These machines work
